Psychosocial Work Environment and Employees’ Performance in Nigerian Oil and Gas Firms

This study investigated the effect of psychosocial work environment on performance employees eight (8) oil and gas firms in Nigeria. Survey research design was used questionnaire major data collection instrument which administered to firms. Four (4) dimensions (proactive behaviour, interpersonal relationship, feeling safety, job engagement) were obtained analyzed via descriptive inferential statistical methods. The simple regression results established positive relationships between employee proactive behavior, relationships, safety. For engagement variable, a negative established. recommended that management should use behaviours such as motivational incentives improve employees’ performance. Also, other options engaging creating conducive, safe less hazardous for employees.
